arthur's 2nd birthday- december 6th, 2014

arthur is the greatest kid in the whole world, and we are the luckiest parents to have him. this is nothing new to us. 

for his birthday, i asked him what cake he wanted and he said, "ho ho ho!" so we went with a santa claus cake. i'm not a great cake decorator, so it was just a simple white cake with a chocolate santa on top. we got so lucky that they had those beautiful lindt chocolate santas at the store! arthur liked the cake and that's all that mattered. what a perfect kid. 

you can see the pure joy on his face as he opens his presents. i love that about little kids. it doesn't last forever, but for this birthday it was very real and made it all that much better. 

arthur has been the best, sweetest, easiest kid since day one. they call this the "terrible twos" but arthur seems to just get better and better. one of my favorite things to see is how much he loves little hugo. he really really loves him, you guys. every time he sees hugo he says, "hi, gugo!" and gives him a kiss. he plays "peek-a-boo" with him everywhere, and brings him toys when he's fussy. and one of the other best things is to see how much hugo loves him back. hugo loves most people, but he and arthur have a bond that we can't even touch. they're already best friends and i'm dying over it. it's honestly perfect and everything i hoped it would be.
