4 weeks later and i'm just getting around to posting hospital pictures.
i'm on top of things.
hugo tennyson conrad
6 lbs. 13 oz. 19 in.
born August 26th, 2014 at 1:30 pm
we spent monday night at my parents' house.
tuesday morning, we left the house at 6:30 to go get beto's breakfast burritos.
(that's where we got breakfast last time. we decided to make it a tradition.)
we got to the hospital at 7:00 and got right in and they
poked me with needles and loaded me with pitocin.
once i started to have huge contractions, i got the epidural.
(i am so thankful to live in a time where i can get it!
i really don't care what anyone says. it's a gift from god, for real.)
the doctor came and broke my water and then we waited.
the nurse told me to let her know when i started to feel a lot of pressure,
but with the epidural, i really just felt absolutely nothing. ever.
so, after an hour or so, chubbs and i decided it had probably been
long enough and we called her in.
hugo was already on his way out, so she called the doctor and i started pushing.
he was out in about 5 minutes, with his cute funny face.
we love him so much.
we think he looks like a cute benjamin button/baby voldemort.
he is every bit as good of a baby as arthur was.
i am the luckiest ever. everything has been easier than i ever hoped.
arthur loves him so much and it kills me to see him snuggle and kiss him.
best brothers.
by the way, i absolutely recommend the american fork hospital.
both times i've delivered there were absolutely awesome.
great nurses. great doctors. great food.
and i really miss the BLTs and the yogurt parfaits at the hospital.
they're all i ever want to eat. i think about them every day, and maybe that makes
me pathetic, but it's the truth.
and if you were wondering, yes, i am loving not being pregnant anymore.
(these pictures are 100% unedited, so you're getting all of his
dry, rashy, acne, splotchy, newborn skin. i hope you like it as much as i do.)
