we're still alive. but not in oregon.
we're living in provo, utah and we're happy as can be.
i'm pregnant and as large as a whale at only 25 weeks. oh joy. what a summer we have ahead of us.
arthur is the very best thing we have. he's 17 months and still not even trying to talk. the only thing he ever says is "owwwwwwww!" after he hits himself on the head. apparently it's pretty funny....
chubbs is going to uvu to get his bachelors is chemistry and then on to medical school. hopefully. lots of prayers. he's so smart and so dedicated that i really have no doubt he'll get in. he's in the top 5 in all of his classes and they're all really hard ones. his goal is to get a 4.0 every semester from now until he graduates. it's working well so far.
arthur and i hang out all day. he loves outside and he loves his uncle dane. i'm pretty far down on the list, but the kid does have to spend all day with me. every day. i can't blame him. it's finally warm outside and we like to put him in shorts and tank tops so we can see as much skin as possible. plus he's just really stinking cute in them. but i guess that goes for everything.... he likes books. he likes watching robin hood. he loves elephants and dogs. he has 7 teeth now. 3 of them came in last week. it was a rough week. he drank all of my peach smoothie this morning without coming up for breath once. i didn't want any anyway.... he's a pretty good eater most of the time. other times he decides he is the worst eater. i find it's best to have a backup for every meal. one day he'll like it and the next day he won't touch it. he's weird. whatever. we got him some cute little saltwater sandals and he has tan lines on his feet already. i die over them. i thought it was dirt at first! so cute. he has such stinky, sweaty feet, but of course that doesn't change anything. cutest feet ever. i love them.
we got a double stroller because there's really no use in buying a single at this point. 15 weeks until this other little guy is out. we live on center street in provo, which is so fun. there are so many cool shops and there are always fun things going on in the summer. since chubbs is in school this summer (taking the hardest classes of his life) we decided we needed a stroller so arthur and i could go do stuff while he's gone all day. a million dollars later (seriously, who know how much a good stroller costs??? not us...) and we have the best stroller ever. i'm so glad we got it. arthur loves it and it's a dream to push. i'm trying to get my fat, pregnant body used to walking a lot. it's taking time, but i'll get there someday. i'm pathetic, that's all. this flabby body needs the exercise. i'm just glad i have cute little arthur to motivate me, otherwise i'd probably just eat popsicles on the couch all day. good kid.
we live in a little fourplex that's about 1/4 of the size of our house in oregon. it was hard at first, but we're finally getting things set up how we want, and we've been investing in a few things that we really needed. i love this little place now. it's so homey and comfortable. (plus, it's our home so of course i'm going to love it.) we bought a watermelon lemonade candle from bath and body works. it smells like bubble gum, so now our house does too! does it get any better? the only thing that i can't feel good about is arthur's room. the kid doesn't sleep if it's light out, so we had to tinfoil his windows because we're not allowed to hang curtains. we have nice big windows in every room and during the summer, the best thing to ever do is open the windows and let in the light and the fresh air! arthur's room is like a dungeon. benj is painting me all of the best pictures in the world to put on his wall, but nobody is ever going to see them... it breaks my heart. in my desperation, i've been thinking about ripping the tinfoil off and telling arthur to suck it up and live with it. that would definitely backfire though, which is why i haven't.... everyone would suffer. but really, our bedroom has clothes everywhere and suitcases full of clothes still so not everything is perfect. maybe someday we'll finally fix and paint our dresser.... heh.
the point is, i love our little house on center street,
and i love my two (soon to be 3) best boys,
and i love summer time,
and i love food,
and i love arthur in tank tops.
